"Seen. Known. Loved.
Joy. Love. Purpose.
These words have shaped our journey and the heart behind Yada."
Founder Story
"In 2011, our family set aside the American Dream to explore how God was at work in the world. As we volunteered across different countries, we came face to face with the reality of human trafficking. We witnessed women and children being sold for their bodies, and that injustice didn’t just break our hearts—it redirected our lives.
What we saw stirred our hearts to action.
In 2013, The Yada Project was born from a simple but powerful vision: helping women and children feel truly known—through safe relationships, meaningful work, and the steady presence of people who refuse to give up on them. While I care deeply about the issue of human trafficking, what drives Yada is the deep love for the women and children we walk alongside every day.
Yada began with the mission of helping each woman feel seen, known, and loved. As we have grown, so has my love for the women of Yada and the beautiful community we are building together.
We never set out to build an organization; we simply set out to show the love of Jesus.
As we have learned to love well, we have grown—in purpose, in joy, and in love.
I have never walked this journey alone. My family has been part of this adventure from the beginning—supporting the vision, joining the mission, and walking every step with me. Others have caught the vision too, and Yada continues to be built one person at a time.
Yada has become more than a project—it is a community where everyone belongs, a family growing together through laughter and tears, celebration and healing. A family learning what it means to love well.
I cannot fully describe what Yada is or what it has become.
It is beautiful chaos—holy, messy, redemptive, and full of God’s grace.
Jesus calls us to love Him with all our heart, soul, and mind—and then to love others. I love Jesus, and I have had the incredible joy of letting that love flow into the lives of others. It is real love. Authentic love. The kind of love that reaches into dark places and brings light.
We have stepped into places marked by deep pain and exploitation. We have witnessed darkness and evil. It has been heavy.
But Jesus brings light into darkness.
Hope breaks through.
Hope fuels change.
Change opens the door to healing.
And love changes everything.
One by one, lives are being transformed.
Yada’s impact continues to amaze me, but my greatest joy has simply been joining Jesus in building His Kingdom.
Buckle up—we are in for the ride of our lives as we journey with Him."
