Community
Most of the women we serve have never experienced the powerful difference a sense of community can make. We provide opportunities for survivors and their children to learn from and support one another.
Material Support
We offer a voucher program that allows survivors to “shop” our store for shoes, clothing, housewares, and furniture.
Respite Childcare
We know an hour or two of trustworthy childcare can make a huge difference for these moms and work with volunteers to provide it.
Mentoring & Tutoring
We provide the tools to empower these women and help them get on the right track to a better life.
Car Care Clinics
Reliable transportation is critical to a better life. Our car-loving volunteer squad provides tune-ups, oil changes, and more.
Addiction Recovery Assistance
Yada has built relationships with a variety of local recovery resources and works with our survivors to help them find the assistance they need.
Our dream for the future?
Jobs!
As we’ve learned more about the needs of the women we serve, one has risen to the top: the importance of reliable employment they can be proud of. These women are competent, hardworking, and committed to making a better life for themselves, but most have never had the chance to develop employable skills.
We believe Yada Fair Trade & Resale can play a critical role in changing that and will be working in 2024 to develop and fund a job creation program. Interested in being part of our latest challenge? We’d love to hear from you. Contact beth@yadaftr.com
